The fire was reported at a single-family home in the 1200 block of Stein Way, where crews arrived to find fire involving the roof.
Shortly after firefighters entered the home, a MAYDAY was transmitted for a firefighter who became trapped on the second floor. Additional crews immediately worked to locate and assist the firefighter while continuing to battle the blaze.
The incident was upgraded to a second alarm, bringing additional fire companies to the scene to assist with firefighting and rescue operations.
The condition of the firefighter has not yet been released. There is also no immediate word on injuries to any occupants or what caused the fire.
