A Northampton County man accused of sexually assaulting at least three victims, including a 12-year-old and two women he supervised at work, will remain jailed without bail, Bucks County District Attorney Joe Khan announced Wednesday.
Edward A. Eisenhard, 37, was first arrested Oct. 1 after Hilltown Township police investigated a reported sexual assault at the Five Below store in Souderton, where he worked as manager. After that arrest, two more alleged victims came forward, investigators said.
Magisterial District Judges Daniel Baranoski and Gary Gambardella on Wednesday granted the DA’s request to detain Eisenhard without bail in both new cases, finding the “safety of the community cannot be protected with conditions on the defendant due to several cases.”
“Serial sexual predators should not be able to buy themselves out of jail,” Khan said.
Halloween attraction case
According to a criminal complaint, on Sept. 25 Eisenhard approached a female employee working alone at the Valley of Fear Halloween attraction in Lower Southampton Township, where he had worked for 10 seasons and was her supervisor. He allegedly grabbed her by the throat until she struggled to breathe, pinned her wrists against a wall, made sexual comments and assaulted her over her clothing.
Valley of Fear fired him the next day, investigators said. He is charged with strangulation, simple assault, indecent assault, harassment and disorderly conduct.
Five Below case
Two days later, on Sept. 27, Eisenhard allegedly had a Five Below employee clean the stockroom, then made lewd comments before restraining and sexually assaulting her, police said.
Child victim
In a separate Springfield Township case, Eisenhard is accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old on two occasions. He faces four counts each of aggravated indecent assault and indecent assault, plus corruption of minors and harassment.
Detectives believe there may be more victims. Anyone with information is asked to call Bucks County Detectives at 215-348-6354.
The cases were investigated by Bucks County Detectives and the Hilltown, Springfield and Lower Southampton township police departments. Assistant District Attorney Victoria Pollock is prosecuting.
